Al DeNapoli, TBHR partner and leader of our Hospitality & Restaurant practice group, was a presenter at the “Emerging Trends in the Restaurant Industry” sponsored by the Massachusetts Restaurant Association and the accounting firm of Gray, Gray & Gray, LLP. A packed house was on hand to hear industry leaders discuss the latest issues and topics facing restaurant owners and managers.

Al covered emerging legal issues ranging from, among other things, the most recent Supreme Court decision regarding the force of Arbitration Clauses in employment contracts, the new MA equal pay law, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, alcohol licensing issues, liability risks for directors and investors, and the challenges to the industry presented by the new sports gaming decision and the legalization of marijuana.

Proceeds from the seminar went to support the Massachusetts Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Scholarship Fund.
