Going global. Tarlow Breed Hart & Rodgers, P.C. joins IBLC

Monday, July 14, 2008

The Center for International Legal Studies recently invited the law firm of Tarlow, Breed, Hart & Rodgers, P.C. (TBHR) to join the International Business Law Consortium (IBLC).

Based in Salzburg, Austria, the IBLC brings together more than 100 independent law firms, tax advisors, and business consultants from around the globe.  For example, if a TBHR client has business dealings in Madrid, the IBLC’s Madrid affiliate would be available to provide immediate advice and counsel regarding the local legal landscape.  If a law firm in Dublin had a client entering into a merger or acquisition transaction in Boston, TBHR, the IBLC’s only Boston member firm, would provide them with the legal guidance required to consummate the transaction in the U.S.

“With more of our clients expanding into foreign markets, the need for rapid access to legal resources around the world is growing.  By being the IBLC law firm in Boston, we can provide an even greater level of resources for our clients,” said Jeffrey Hart, a partner at TBHR.

In addition to providing resources for its member law firms around the globe, the IBLC also offers many other benefits, including:

Speakers List – provides the names and contact info of IBLC members with expertise in areas ranging from FIE and Trading Rights in China to Protecting Your Company’s Intellectual Assets.

News – includes breaking news and news release on the law and IP and Patents.

Seminars and training listings; internship programs.

Newsletters and other publications.

IBLC members are spread out among several continents and regions of the world, including Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, North and South American, Central America, Europe, the Middle East and Oceania.

“We recently had a client about to engage in a business transaction in the Middle East.  As an IBLC member, we were able to provide an immediate referral to our IBLC counterpart in Kuwait, an experienced and well respected law firm,” said Hart.
