Tarlow, Breed, Hart & Rodgers, P.C., recently hosted a private reception at its offices in Boston for South Korean delegates in Boston for the BIO International Convention and The Business Coalition (TBC), a non-profit organization that encourages and assists foreign-based companies to conduct business in the United States. The delegates from South Korea represented the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Business Agency, all of whom were in Boston to promote the Korea-Seoul Life Science Fund, incentives of the Seoul Metropolitan Government for foreign investors, and sharing of information on Korean biotechnology.

Tarlow Breed Hart and Rodgers, P.C. (TBHR), a Boston-based law firm and a founding member of The Business Coalition, maintains an International Practice Group that assists clients in their cross-border transactional needs in emerging and established markets. TBHR Attorney Edward D. Tarlow, speaking on behalf of The Business Coalition stated, “We are delighted to serve as host for this event and look forward to the delegation’s presentation at the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment (MOITI) where they will discuss funding of companies in the life science industry.”

The visit of these delegates comes a year after the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Seoul Metropolitan Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding promoting cooperation in Life Sciences and High Technology Industries. The announcement of the Korea-Seoul Life Science Fund at the MOITI represents another major step forward in efforts to foster joint business development opportunities in the high technology sectors since the signing of this historic MOU.

The organizations responsible for organizing the delegates visit include the WGC International Business Collaborative Association, Seoul Business Agency, The Business Coalition, Massachusetts Office of International Trade & Investment, Massachusetts Bio Council and the Massachusetts Life Science Center.
