Al DeNapoli spotlighted in bestseller, "The Boston Italians," by Stephen Puleo
Al DeNapoli is spotlighted in a recently published book entitled "The Boston Italians" by well-known author Stephen Puleo. The book tells the story of the Boston Italians from the early years in Boston as they battled poverty, illiteracy and prejudice, explains their transformation into Italian - Americans during the Depression and WWII, and chronicles their history in Boston up to the present day. The final section of the book brings the historical account of Boston's Italian-Americans up to the present with chapters devoted to some of today's influential Boston Italian Americans including Mayor Thomas Menino, Speaker of the House, Representative Sal Dimasi, Sal Balsamo and our very own Al DeNapoli.
