On June 7, 2018, TBHR’s Emily Shanahan moderated a brown bag lunch at the Boston Bar Association entitled, “SLAPP Happy Redux: The anti-SLAPP Statute One Year After Blanchard.” TBHR’s Mark Furman participated on the panel, along with retired Supreme Judicial Court Justice Robert Cordy, now of McDermott, Will & Emery, and Heidi Nadel of Cross Nadel, LLC. The panel examined how the anti-SLAPP (strategic lawsuits against public participation) landscape has evolved in the year since the Supreme Judicial Court’s decision in Blanchard v.
